ON-GOING RESTORATION AT WHITE OAK HILL CEMETERY

As some are aware, there is an old family graveyard on the grounds of the Summit Spring Golf Course named White Oak Hill Cemetery. Over the years, the cemetery had fallen into a state of disrepair. The current landowner has recently begun working with the town of Poland to landscape the area and restore the fence surrounding the cemetery. Incredibly – the Poland Public Works staff was able to salvage and restore many of the original fence pickets! This fencing is estimated to be at least 75 years old – and potentially much older. Special thanks to the landowner – Steve Kinney; Poland Town Manager Matt Garside; and Poland Public Works Director Adam Strout.
