Nomination Papers Now Available

NOMINATION PAPERS AVAILABLE
For Annual Town Meeting Election of April 05, 2019

Nomination papers will be available beginning, Thursday, January 10, 2019 and must be filed on or before Monday, February 25, 2019 by 7PM at the Town Office. Any qualified voter of the Town of Poland may be nominated for election as a member of the Board of Selectpersons, School Committee, and Library Board of Trustees.

You can pick up nomination papers at the Town Office or for more information contact the Town Office at 998-4601.

The following positions are available to file nomination papers for:
Board of Selectperson’s                                                 (2) positions for 3yrs.
Library Trustee                                                               (2) position for 3yrs.
RSU #16 Director                                                           (1) positions for 3 yrs.

All current positions expire as of the Town Meeting of 2019 except the RSU #16 Director’s term which will expire June 30, 2019.  Terms expiring and current person holding the positions are listed below:

Board of Selectpersons - Walter J. Gallagher and James G. Walker, Jr.
Library Trustee - Claire G. Walker, and Barbara Ann Howard’s term currently held by Claire Dick
RSU #16 Director - Melanie A.H. Harvey

The Annual Town Meeting Election will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 upstairs at the Town Hall from 8 AM - 7 PM. The business portion of the meeting will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the Poland Regional High School auditorium beginning at 9 AM.
