Electric car charging station added to Alvan Ricker Memorial Library in Poland

Electric vehicle owners now have another reason to stop and visit Poland.  A Level 2 charging station has been installed at the side of the Alvan Ricker Memorial Library, 1211 Maine St, in Poland.  The new charging station fills a gap in coverage for electric vehicle charging.  Previously, charging stations on Rt 26 were only found in Norway with the next one in Gray.

While waiting for their vehicles to charge there is a lot for drivers and passengers to do.  They can visit the Library (Mon/Tues 9AM-8PM, Wed-Fri 9AM-5PM, and Sat 10AM-2PM), go for a hike on the 2.6 mile Heart of Poland and the nearby 2.0 mile Waterhouse Brook trail systems, enjoy a frozen custard at Ruby Rose’s, or take a short walk to get to the Dunkin Donuts, Subway, McDonalds and Big Apple stores.

The charging station was funded by a grant from the Center for an Ecology Based Economy (CEBE), based in Norway and installed by ReVision Energy.
