Broadband Committee (PBC)

The purpose of the PBC is to assess the current availability of fiber broadband internet within the Town of Poland, identify gaps in coverage or speed, and share this information with residents. Additionally, the PBC will offer recommendations to the BOS on the town's potential role in investing in broadband infrastructure. The PBC views expanded broadband access as vital not only for economic growth—by attracting new businesses, supporting the expansion of existing local enterprises, and fostering home-based businesses—but also for strengthening the community. Equal access to broadband can lead to a more informed, better-educated community and promote civic and political engagement.
