The National Weather Service Forecast Office in Gray, ME has issued the following storm-related information:

“…..a winter storm system will impact the region Wednesday with widespread moderate to heavy snowfall; …..period of impact will be noon Wednesday through midnight Wednesday with greatest impact late afternoon through the evening commute with snowfall rates of 1-2” per hour; …..snow will be wet and heavy along the immediate coast with the potential for sleet mix; …..wind is not expected to be an issue; …..temps will generally be in the 20s throughout the event; snow totals for the entire region (except along the immediate coast) is expected to be 8-12”; …..detailed forecast for Wednesday through Sunday:  Wednesday – snow mainly after 9am – heavy at times with high near 23  and calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph – snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches; …..Wednesday night – snow mainly before 11pm and heavy at times with low around 18 and northwest wind 5 to 10 mph – new snow accumulation another 3-5”;…..Thursday – sunny with a high near 26 and northwest wind around 10 mph; …..Thursday night – partly cloudy with a low around 5; …..Friday – mostly cloudy with a high near 25; …..Friday night – 30 percent chance of snow with a low around 10; …..Saturday – mostly sunny with a high near 29; …..Saturday night – 40 percent chance of snow with a low around 18; …..Sunday – 50 percent chance of snow with a high near 36; …..Sunday night – mostly cloudy with a low around 20’ …..”
