Gathering Winds Farm and Orchard Selected as Business of the Quarter

Gathering Winds Farm and Orchard

Gathering Winds Farm and Orchard Receives

Quarterly Excellence in Business Award 2018

Gathering Winds Farm and Orchard at 315 Poland Corner Road in Poland has been chosen by the Poland Community and Economic Development Committee to receive the Quarterly Excellence in Business Award.

Owners Stacey and John Bsullak purchased the farm three years ago.  Gathering Winds Farm and Orchard is a small family farm located in Poland, Maine that raises hogs and poultry seasonally on pasture and has over 900 apple trees of Cortland’s, Paula Reds, Honey Crisp, Gold Delicious and Macs – and of course they have cider!  There is a farm stand that is open seven days a week from 9AM to 6PM until December 23rd.

Stacey and John have a strong commitment to the community – that is one of the reasons they purchased the farm.  They have worked hard to bring a sense of community to the farm and have hosted a military and EMS appreciation day, a farmers market, a harvest moon yoga event at sunset, and have just hosted 32 pre-kindergarteners from Poland Community School.  The children picked apples, learned what being a community means, and donated two baskets of apples to Poland Fire Rescue.

Stacey tells us that “we are so super excited to be part of this community and to have an abundance of apples we can donate to great causes!!”

For Stacey and John, thank you for being such a vibrant part of our community!
