POLAND CONSERVATION COMMISSION
The Select Board has formed a new Conservation Commission. Appointed members are John Crouch, Sue Ellis, Fred Huntress, Richard Haslip, John Laskey and Don Stover. Joe Cimino will serve as Selectman Liaison and Dana Lee has been serving as Administrative Assistant.
The purpose of the Commission is to study the value of lands in Poland that may be important for outdoor recreation, as water resources, as wildlife habitat, for timber harvesting, farming, historic or scenic value with a goal of implementing stewardship and preservation where appropriate.
While focusing on issues of land preservation, the Commission will entertain any conservation related projects. They are especially interested in working closely with other Town committees and are hopeful that they can expand their membership to include citizens with a broad range of interests and values. If you would be interested in joining as an associate member, please contact the Chairman, Don Stover at 998-4194 or via email, dstover@ime.net
