Bottle Donation Building Open
Members of Poland Fire Rescue spent two days battling the cold, not on the scene of a structure fire, but constructing a bottle donation building. The wooden 8' x12' building is located on the grounds of the Station at 33 Poland Corner Road. This self-service bottle building is open 24-7 for friends, citizens or visitors that would like to help. Just stop on by and place your bagged returnables through one of the two one-way doors. Bottles will be picked up weekly by The Village Kitchen Rapid Redemption Service which is located on Route 26. The proceeds of the donated returnables
will be used for the purchase of life saving equipment. The association looks to provide for the Fire Rescue Department when the municipal budget is not able to purchase needed items to keep the citizens and the emergency workers as safe as possible.
