Poland Recreation Dept. will not accept registrations for Minot & Mechanic Falls residents. Please contact the recreation committee/ soccer director in your area for registration.
**All registrants in grades 1-6 must participate in the Prize Calendar fundraiser.**
Required Fundraiser: When registering please be sure to note the Prize Calendar fundraiser packets. You may choose to opt out of the fundraiser by choosing to pay the $25.00 in lieu of fee at time of registration.
General Information:
What: Our program is based on a developmental sport philosophy; concentrating more on learning and less on winning. Our hope is to create a positive environment for our children to learn the game of soccer and spend quality time with friends and family. Our league consists of teams from Poland, Minot/Hebron and Mechanic Falls. Soccer directors from all three departments/ organizations work together to organize and plan this program each season. Our slogan is "Four Towns One Goal". We are all working together to provide consistancy and quality throughout this program.
Our program is divided into 4 divisions which are described below. Participants may be placed in a different division at times due to number of registrants/ ability. We discourage moving children up early where each level is designed to develop different skills over a 2 season span.
Fun With Soccer Age 3
Participants and parents will get together each Sunday in September/ October for 30 minutes to play fun games and learn simple soccer skills.
No game situations will be presented at this level. Instruction Time: 10:30-11:00 am |
M&M Soccer Pre-K & Kindergarten Each Sunday in September/ October 45 minute sessions 1/2 hour skill development 15 minute game Size 3 Ball Average of 4-6 players per team. Pug Goals Coaches will referee games Instruction Time: 10:30 - 11:15 am |
Micro's Grades 1 & 2
1 practice per week 1- game on Sundays 4- 8 minute quarters 5 v 5 plus goalkeeper

6 foot goals Coaches will referee Game Times: 12:00 - 4:00 pm varies per week & depends on number of teams in the league. |
Midgets Grades 3 & 4
1 -2 Practices per week 1- game on Sundays 4- 10 minute quarters 7 v 7 plus goalkeeper
