Dear Parents and participants,
The good news is after searching for several months we have found someone able to teach tumbling for our cheer program. The great news is that your child(ren) will be able to participate during the cheer season this time around for free. We are going to cover the cost thru the cheer program.
Tumbling classes will not be required, however we encourage all of our cheerleaders to participate if they can make the time frame work. We understand that the Dates/Times may not work for your family schedule. Sunday was the only day we could make this happen!
Instructor: Kelley Hilton
Kelley has a BS in sports medicine and has been teaching gymnastics in Oxford for many years. We are hoping Kelley will be available for additional tumbling sessions thru the next cheer season before she heads off for more schooling.
Coaches are going to help as well when they can to keep the tumbling classes running as smooth as possible. Our goal is to expand our cheerleaders tumbling ability and incorporate their talents in current and future routines.

CHEER CAMP 2012
Looking for Cheer Camp Information???
General Information:
Who:
Our youth competition cheering program is a tri-town program for boys/ girls in grades Pre-K - 8 in Minot, Poland, and Mechanic Falls..
What:
Our focus is to develop basic motions, stunting and dance at each age level. The difference in divisions is based on age and stunting level. All of our coaches are encouraged to be NCA certified and CPR/ First aid trained. While our coaches are volunteers; we cannot mandate/ guarantee these certifications.
Our teams will focus on developing routines to compete in local competitions.
When:
Due to the nature of this sport, the season operates November - March; consisting of 1-2 practices per week and approximately 4-8 competitions depending on the division.
This program requires all it's participants to be present at all practices in order for the routines to be a success. If your chld is ill; you must call the coach to inform them of their absence. Stunting and formation makes this sport difficult to function without all team members.
Tri-Town Knights Cheering Divisions:
Tiny Twisters: Pre-K - Kindergarten (all participants must be age 4 prior to October 15 that season.)
Mini-Twisters: Grades 1 & 2
Junior Twisters: Grades 3 & 4
Senior Twisters: Grades 5 & 6
Varsity Twisters: Grades 7 & 8
FYI: Cheering is a physically challenging sport which requires lifting other participants, tumbling and constant movement. You may want to consider consulting a physician prior to participation.
