Soccer:
Current Registration: $35.00 – M&M, Micros, Midgets & Juniors

Fundraiser: Prize Calendar – mandatory $25.00 in sales per player.
Parents currently supply: Shorts & Cleats

Expenses: Refs, coaches training, soccer balls, goals, cones, and other equipment. Julie Mocciola directs the program. Any hours over her 20 per week at the rec office is supported through soccer revenue.

This program has kept the registration fee of $35.00 and fundraising contributions at an average of $25.00 per player over the last 3 years with no increase. We have not needed much in terms of equipment until now. We are looking to buy or make new goals this season and will need more revenue. Our program is at a 0 balance at the end of each season after all expenses paid. As the director, Julie is finding it harder to get volunteer coaches and has an opportunity to hire a professional outfit, Maine Premier Soccer, to enhance our program. Uniform: Currently we supply game jersey & pants, practice jersey and pants, helmet, shoulder pads, mouth piece, chin strap, misc pads and belt. Replacement cost = $232.00
Award: Currently we supply a medal and certificate for each player.
Fundraiser: We currently have "punt, pass & kick"; concessions, prize calendar, grid iron gift card sales and we have received several donations.
Parents currently supply: cleats, girdle (optional) and other gear (optional)

Expenses: Refs, League dues, Director Stipend, $1,500 goes directly to support the Rec Dept., port-a-toilets, equipment & uniform replacement.

Note: We are looking to decrease registration fees for the short term since this program is doing well financially

Equipment Plan: Since we now have all of the equipment necessary to play, we are now looking at replacement of game jerseys that players can keep; looking at supplementing a portion of helmets each yr; purchasing a scoreboard; purchasing a few additonal tackle dummies.

The babe ruth program is expensive to run due to higher umpire fees (2011 = $385.00) and league dues ($520.00)
This program has not been able to keep up on its revenue expectation over the past yrs, even though the team has participated in some fundraising.

Equipment plan: Need to invest in better quality bats and start replacing bats this yr; batting helmets should be replaced. *Jerseys all set for upcoming season.

Current negative balance carried over from 2011 = $-755.40 (Some of this balance carried over from the 2010 season as well) Regardless of the options below, the negative balance will need to be fundraised prior to PRD registering a babe ruth team this yr.
