Building our communities through building a skate park!
Over the past several months, local skate board enthusiasts and their families have been attending meetings to discuss and plan for the building of a regional skate park. With many great minds working together, we have found a site, designed the park on paper and will soon begin a fundraising campaign. It is important that we have alternative activities for kids in these communities and what better way to see this happen than to have a place for kids to have fun, get exercise and be creative.
We will need to raise approximately $30,000 to build the park. The park would be located next to the Mechanic Falls town office behind the tennis courts. The space would be adjacent to the outdoor basketball court and play area for Mechanic Falls summer Recreation program.
