Town Manager Report
December 15, 2009
1) Drafted OBW ideas / researched fees.
2) Drafted warrant articles.
3) Drafted / analyzed some pay scale figures for 2010 – 2011.
4) Attended / followed up on busy CEDC agenda. Had a meeting with the parties interested in the Gun Club lot.
5) Reviewed some additional financial data with regard to future growth of all TIF funds. The final data will be in the feasibility reports under the funding section.
6) Finished road inventorying, but having an issue with the way the program handles lengths Will also need to discuss sorting which roads are priority – the program lets you assign “weight” to importance, traffic count, condition and roughness. Depending upon priority, it changes which roads come out on top pretty significantly. Workshop?
7) Continued to push to see school audit completed.
8) Went with John Cleveland to a meeting with Poland Spring Bottling representatives about their water storage tank. They are going to see what it might take (refer it to legal) to reduce liability to a point where that tank could be a part of a water extension; likewise Cyndi Robbins would have to be confident in cost / liability avoidance, and no break in service to her customers. It’s a long shot.
9) Got the newsletter out as well as foreclosure warnings.
10) Met with a Me. Emergency Management Agency official updating the project lists for 404 Mitigation funding. This might be a way to correct some of our worse drainage problems during heavy rains (paid by FEMA 2, 3 or more times in same area) w/ some federal assistance.
11) Attended PCC meeting and held a CDBG meeting.
12) Had a short holiday celebration lunch with the staff on 12/10 and brought in a retirement investment planner for them to meet with. Morale, you know =)
13) Conducted two 4 hour blocks of required safety training with all staff.
14) We are accepting food for the local food pantry, and accepting Toys for Tots (a Tri-Town effort) (ages 0 – 14), and are accepting donations for the Hackett Fund (Winter Wellness).
