Town Manager Report
December 2, 2008
1) Continued work on starting the 2009-2010 budget, especially revenues, insurance and capital improvements.
2) Had Bureau of Labor Standards in to review all of our worksites and training for compliance with Maine Labor and OSHA. Generally, we did quite well, though we are awaiting the written Worked on a new emergency Response Plan (as required).
3) Participated in a number of personnel-related matters, including the resignation of Art Dunlap effective 12/01/09.
4) Continued work on the fire-alarm and sprinkler system bids. Sprinklers will be required by the Fire Marshall’s office for the Town Hall.
5) Worked with Auditor on the BETR / BETE stuff and on the TIF spreadsheet in preparation for meeting with Poland Spring Bottling.
6) Met with a couple of our major businesses about future plans.
7) Met regarding Route 26 brainstorming water pipes, sidewalks, etc.
