New Employees
A new part-time transfer station employee has been hired who will work on an on-call, as-needed basis. His name is Thomas Coffin, and his general duties include helping residents determine where to drop off items, general clean-up, mowing grass, shoveling snow, etc. We welcome Mr. Coffin to the Town’s staff and wish him the best in this new employment venture.
The Public Works Director and I completed interviews of applicants for the seasonal Equipment Operator/Laborer position and have presented a conditional offer of employment to Jesse Allen of Naples. Jesse has several years’ experience operating equipment and plowing and sanding for a contractor, and he works summers at his family’s marina during the warmer months. We believe Jesse will be a very productive addition to our competent town crew and look forward to working with him.
The best to both of you in your new employment positions with the Town of Poland!

The additional patching on Hardscrabble Road is proposed to cost $4,700. A total of $13,287 was paid for the other crack-filling work.
